The O'Sullivans from Ireland - Prayer Letter October 2010

Dear Saints in Christ
There has been much water under the bridge since we last wrote. The Holiday Bible Club went really well and there was a good turnout of children. They behaved well and listened really well to the Word of God.
We have experienced several blessing recently. A Hungarian couple made contact. They had been looking for a conservative church for a long time. Since making contact they have been to eight services and want to join the church. They are also musically gifted and are already involved in choir practice for the Annual Carols by Candlelight service. This will be held very early this year (November 28th) as the choir leader and his wife will be away for the month of December.
Two weeks ago Mauro, Shalema and the twins came to the evening service. I believe that they were saved about three years ago, but for some reason did not get established in attending services. Mauro had phoned from time to time and we visited occasionally. They came to the morning service last week. So pray for them to get established in regular attendance.
We have visitors to the services most Sundays. We have noticed a trend recently with people coming and reacting against the excesses of the various fads that assail Christian circles and instead seeking a sound church, incidentally the attendance at the evening service has increased gradually.
Since August, we have a young man working part time with the church. It’s a great blessing to have another pair of hands to help. It’s opening up doors to expand our impact. However please be in prayer for David as he comes until intense spiritual pressure from time to time.
Please pray for a man called Samuel currently living in Limerick, Ireland. He is a Spanish citizen, but is originally from Cameroon, Africa. He is from a nominal Christian background but came into contact with believers in Spain. He wrote to me recently requesting training for the ministry. I met with him yesterday and soon discerned that he was not saved! I was able to share the Gospel with him, and he is doing some Bible studies by post. Do pray for his salvation. He has seven languages (Spanish, French, English plus four tribal languages). He has a burden to preach the Word of God in Cameroon. He appears very open and teachable. If this man would trust Christ as Saviour and yield himself to the Lord, he could be used greatly.
Caleb has finished his schoolwork, which is a great relief to his parents! He does not have clear direction regarding future career training so he is seeking a job right now while he considers his options. Please continue to pray for his salvation. He attends all services and is very helpful with practical thing around the church.
Bamidele finished the series of Bible studies and then disappeared off the radar! I think he is convicted and does not want to pay the price of salvation. Please pray for Vincent with whom we have had a lot of contact in recent months.
Forthcoming events for which to pray
Sunday School teacher training series this will train the members in various aspects of Sunday School so that we will develop a larger pool of those who can minister in this way. The annual Carols by Candlelight will (Lord willing) be held on 28th November. This is due to the fact that the choir leader will be away for the month of December.

Complete in Christ.
Derry O’Sullivan (for the O’Sullivan family).
