The Notz Notes - Germany (Prayer Letter Fall 2010)

September 2010
Big Day According a recent survey, 53% of Germans think, that today they are treated worse by their fellow countrymen than 10 years ago. Through our services and special guest events, we not only want to personalize the gospel, but we also try to counter act the mentioned trend by showing that Jesus has truly changed our lives. 3 new families attended our latest Guest Sunday, and in the weeks to follow we were able to welcome new visitors to our services as well. Each of them expressed that it was a positive experience.
Youth Camp Our children- and teen camp was once again a highlight of the year. 56 participants from 3 churches explored the knighthood through games devotions and crafting swords and bow and arrow. Camp food actually was a highlight too. The women of our churches cooked wonderful meals. Through their tireless efforts we could not only offer a very low camp charge, but were able to come up with a surplus of close to € 800.00 ($ 1,000.00). The extra funds were sent to the Kozak family, church planters in Lithuania. Marian Kozak came by the camp for one day and challenged our hearts to serve the Lord.
A Family Note In closing we want to share some encouraging family news. Our two youngest boys have been doing their evening devotions together. One evening Caleb explained to his younger brother Timothy how to be saved. Sherri then asked Timothy if he wanted to pray with her. However, he desired to do that all by himself. Through the crack of the door, Sherri noticed that Timmy was kneeling by his bed, praying that Jesus would come into this heart.
